Shimaya Kombu Dashi-no-Moto is a convenient granulated Japanese soup stock made with kombu from Hokkaido, Japan. It provides the characteristic savoury umami of kombu without the need to soak and simmer whole kelp every time you prepare Japanese food.
Each box contains 16 individual 8g sachets, with a total net weight of 128g. Simply dissolve the granules in hot water to prepare a quick dashi base, or add a smaller quantity directly to dishes as a seasoning.

1 sachet (8g) with approximately 1,000ml water
Simmered dishes:
½ sachet with approximately 400ml water
Vinegared dishes:
Approximately ¼ sachet
Ochazuke:
Approximately ½ sachet for around 4 bowls of rice
Sushi vinegar:
Approximately ½ sachet for around 750ml measure of rice
Hot pot / Yudofu:
Approximately ½ sachet with 1,000ml water
